Practice Test

DISCLAIMER: What follows is being written first-hand from one individual’s life experiences. In other words, this won’t be definitive but will try to be comprehensive.

If you have been following my posts, you know that I am in the process of trying to pass my AR Real Estate Licensing Exam. I have finally set a date for Saturday, June 11, 2016. If you live within Arkansas, all testing takes place at the Pearsonvue Exam Centers. I am legally and ethically forbidden from saying anything about the test, and that really isn’t my goal with this post.

Pearsonvue offers a great resource called a practice test. It is not a free resource. You will be charged to take the practice test. In my opinion, it is money well spent and here’s why:

  1. It familiarizes you with the exam process. If you have testing anxiety, it will help to take away that “unknown” factor. You will have a better understanding of what the questions will look like.
  2. When you take the practice test you can review each question and see what you did wrong immediately. Knowing where you missed a question gives you the opportunity to realize what you need to study more.
  3. Depending on how you do on the practice test, it can be a great confidence booster. I’m not afraid to say that this test had me very overwhelmed. The questions on the test to complete my course were hard and scary. The practice test dispelled a lot of uncertainty for me.

Ultimately, it is up to the individual whether you think a practice test is a good value. I found a lot of value in taking it. Almost enough to want to pay for an additional test. Thanks for reading and let me know what you think. Thanks.
